Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th in 1967. Julia Fiona Roberts is the fourth generation of Roberts who reside in Atlanta. Her father was interested in theatre from a very young stage. He was a part of his Emory University campus in 1952 and in other productions in Atlanta. He joined the Air Force in 1953. During his time being stationed at Biloxi Mississippi, he was a part of the military's production, which featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was as well in the air force. They got married in 2005, and welcomed their first child, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter as well as his spouse were discharged from the military in 1957, when they enrolled Walter at Tulane University. In 1960 the family moved to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter and Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show that was aimed at children, known as Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. It was a venture that they funded themselves. In 1964 Walter and Betty Lou established The Actors and Writers Workshop. The workshop lasted about six years. Lelisa Billingsley who is also referred to as Lisa was born in the year 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
