Anita Sarkeesian is a Canadian-American feminist media critic and public speechwriter. Feminist Frequency is a website which hosts video and commentary analysing portrayals gender roles in pop media and popular. Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian-American media critic and blog writer who has been awarded accolades for her work. She is a feminist blogger. Feminist Frequency is a non-for profit website that focuses on the representation of women in pop culture narratives - is created and is directed by Sarkeesian. She's committed to removing stereotypes of women as they appear in popular media. In addition, she works to raise awareness about online harassment targeted towards women as well as the marginalized communities of people. Sarkeesian also holds a York University master's in social philosophy, political and philosophical thinking. Apart from being a popular public speaker she has made speeches at the TEDxWomen The XOXO Conference as well as the United Nations Broadband Working Group. Feminist Frequency was founded in 2009 by Sarkeesian. an undergraduate student at York University who had been involved in topics that concern gender and feminism for quite a considerable period of period of. The ambitious lady planned to launch a web series that would examine the gender roles in video games and was the subject of an online harassment campaign. She was not deterred by the harassment, actually, it just reinforced her desire to become a media critic and feminist. Her notable contributions to the field of feminists are recognized with numerous awards. Anita Sarkeesian was a multi-award winning journalist. She was also the creator and director of Feminist Frequency an educational and non-profit group that focuses on pop-culture representations of females.
