Charissa Thompson
Thompson was a former FOX Sports host who left FOX Sports to join Yahoo Sports in 2010, as well as hosted Versus Sports. Thompson hosted Versus' NHL coverage in the studio as well as produced web-based content for Yahoo's heavily-shopped platform. Thompson was in charge of the website's presence at the most prestigious sporting events such as events like the 2010 Winter Olympics and FIFA World Cup. She was a successful host across both of these areas. This resulted in her joining ESPN on August 11, 2011. In that capacity, she hosted the recently created afternoon show "Numbers Never lie" that was broadcast on ESPN. She joined"SportsNation," the "SportsNation" channel in the month of July. The show was an enormous success and she stayed on until May 2013, after which she returned home to Los Angeles to launch FS1. An avid sports enthusiast, Thompson has also shown that she has the ability to seamlessly cross into the entertainment world of television. In June of 2014, following numerous part-time assignments Thompson was named permanent co-host to the Hollywood evening news magazine "Extra". In this capacity, she taped segments at Universal Studios while also staffing awards shows and other celebrity occasions on a regular basis.
